Bridging the Gaps, Better Care
and More Cures
The World Health Organisation’s (WHO) Global Initiative for Childhood Cancer sets to achieve at least 60%
survival rate for all children and adolescents diagnosed with cancer, globally by 2030. In achieving this
goal, one strategic solution is by identifying childhood cancer care and support gaps in lower income
countries,
and employing success stories from higher income countries to address these gaps.
With early
detection, accurate diagnosis and comprehensive care, childhood cancer is treatable. This Conference will
feature discussions on how industry players and other stakeholders move forward in closing equity gaps. To
showcase sustainability as a main theme, dialogues will zoom in on ethical dilemmas of medical
professionals, palliative care, survivor journey and family relationships in caring for a child with
cancer.
